1. Who we are

Financify ("Financify", "we", "us" or "our") provides outsourced accounting, asset-management back-office support, business research, financial research, and portfolio management and financial modelling services.

This policy applies to personal information we handle through this website, our marketing communications and our business dealings with clients, prospects and suppliers.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiries: your name, work email, company, the service you are interested in and anything you write in our contact form.
  • Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe to our insights.
  • Business dealings: contact and billing details of client and supplier representatives, and records of our correspondence.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and time spent, collected through server logs.
  • Cookies: small files that help the site work and, where you allow it, help us understand how it is used. See Cookies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this website. Please do not send it to us via the contact form.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
  • To deliver, manage and invoice our services.
  • To send newsletters and service updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To protect our rights and prevent fraud or misuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on: consent (for example, newsletters and non-essential cookies); performance of a contract or steps before entering one; legitimate interests in running and growing our business, balanced against your rights; and legal obligations. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Client engagement data

When we perform services, our clients may share data with us that includes personal information about their customers, investors, employees or counterparties. In those cases we act on the client's documented instructions as a data processor (or equivalent role), and the handling of that data is governed by our client agreement and any data processing terms, which take precedence over this policy for that data.

6. Sharing

We share personal information only where necessary, with:

  • Service providers who host our website, provide email and IT services, or help us run our business, under contracts that require them to protect the data.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, lawyers and insurers.
  • Authorities where required by law, court order or to protect rights and safety.
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. International transfers

We serve clients globally, so personal information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual clauses with recipients.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here: enquiry records for up to 24 months if no engagement follows, client records for the duration of the relationship plus any period required by law, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, confidentiality undertakings from staff, encryption in transit and regular review of our practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU and UK GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct or update it;
  • request its deletion;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • receive a portable copy of it;
  • withdraw consent; and
  • raise a complaint with us or with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Cookies

This website uses essential cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to function. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly as a result.

12. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
